PKL 2023 runners-up Haryana Steelers crossed swords with the defending champions Puneri Paltan at GMC Balayogi Sports Complex in Hyderabad on Saturday, October 19. The Steelers slumped to a 25-35 defeat and will look to bounce back strongly in their next few matches.

Led by Jaideep Dahiya, Haryana Steelers settled for the fifth rank in the PKL 2023 league stage with 13 wins, eight losses, and a draw, accumulating 70 points. They would be aiming to take one step further and have their hands on the elusive silverware.

Mohammedreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, the star defender, has been roped in by the Steelers at the PKL 2024 Player Auction at a whopping price of INR 2.07 crore, bolstering the overall squad for the 11th edition.
