Pro Kabaddi League 10 runners-up Haryana Steelers have announced three new signings ahead of the new season. The Steelers have roped in raider Gnana Abhishek S, all-rounder Sahil Narwal, and raider Vikas Ramadas Jadhav as their three signings in the New Young Players (NYP) category.

PKL organizers allow franchises to scout new talents during the off-season and sign the players they are interested in under the NYP category. As per the PKL rules, the minimum age of an NYP player should be 18 years, while the maximum age is 22 years.

Talking about the three players signed by Haryana Steelers for PKL 11, Gnana Abishek S hails from Tamil Nadu. As per his Instagram bio, the raider is based from the Sports Authority of India in Chennai. He considers himself the 'King of Kabaddi' at a young age.

Another young raider signed by Haryana is Maharashtra-based Vikas Jadhav. Vikas hails from Pune, and he participated in the sixth Khelo India Youth Games.

The third player signed by the Steelers is all-rounder Sahil Narwal, who is a local lad from Haryana. Sahil has trained at the Sports Authority of India in Gandhinagar.

Can the 3 youngsters help Haryana Steelers win their first championship in PKL 11?

Haryana Steelers came agonizingly close to winning their first championship in PKL 10. However, the Steelers were defeated by Puneri Paltan 28-25 in an exciting final hosted in Hyderabad. The Steelers will aim to continue in the same vein this season but go one step further at the final stage.

With the addition of two young raiders and a talented all-rounder, the Steelers' roster seems stronger than ever. It will be interesting to see which players make the cut for Haryana's retention list for the 2024/25 season of PKL. The retained players list is expected to come out soon.
