Patna Pirates have secured a place in the PKL 2024 playoffs following a four-point victory over Telugu Titans at the Badminton Hall in Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune on Wednesday (December 18).
The Pirates are currently placed second in the Pro Kabaddi 2024 points table with 73 points from 20 outings, having won 13 games, lost six, and tied one. They will play their remaining two matches against U Mumba (December 19) and Gujarat Giants (December 21).
The Pirates' encounter against U Mumba will be crucial for the latter as they are still in contention for the PKL 2024 playoffs. Meanwhile, Gujarat Giants have been knocked out of the competition and will face the Pirates in a dead rubber.
UP Yoddhas also secured a place in the Pro Kabaddi 2024 playoffs, courtesy of Telugu Titans' loss against Patna Pirates. They are placed fourth in the Pro Kabaddi 2024 standings with 69 points and a score difference of 47 from 20 matches, including 11 wins, six losses, and three ties.
The Yoddhas will face Gujarat Giants in their upcoming fixture on Thursday (December 19) before they take on Bengaluru Bulls on Tuesday (December 24). The Giants and the Bulls are out of the PKL 2024 playoff race. UP Yoddhas will look to finish in the top two spots and earn direct qualification into the semi-finals.
Haryana Steelers and Dabang Delhi KC are the remaining two teams that have secured a place in the Pro Kabaddi 2024 playoffs.

Jaipur Pink Panthers (64 points), U Mumba (61 points), Telugu Titans (61 points), and Puneri Paltan (55 points) are still in the race for the PKL 2024 playoffs.
