Defending champions Puneri Paltan locked horns with the PKL 2023 runners-up Haryana Steelers in the team’s season opener at GMC Balayogi Sports Complex in Hyderabad on Saturday, October 19.

In the previous season, Paltan amassed 17 wins, suffered two losses, and tied three games to end the league phase with the pole position, accumulating 96 points.

Puneri Paltan registered a win against Haryana Steelers by 28-25 in the PKL 2023 final to win their first PKL title. Led by Aslam Inamdar, Puneri Paltan roped in the services of raider Ajith V Kumar in the player auction at INR 66 Lakh.
