Yamuna Yodhas are one of the eight teams participating in the inaugural edition of the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL 2024). The competition is scheduled from July 11 to 25 at the Noida Indoor Stadium. A total of 59 matches will be played across two weeks.
Yamuna Yodhas signed three PKL players at the auction table last month. They spent a whopping sum of ₹3.1 lakh to rope in the services of Vinay Tevathia.
Vinay made his Pro Kabaddi League debut with Haryana Steelers during the seventh edition. He has been with the Steelers for four consecutive seasons and has racked up a total of 379 points from 79 outings.
In PKL Season 10, the Indian raider scored 165 points from 23 matches. He earned 163 raid points from 371 raids, including six super raids and as many Super 10s.

U.P. Yoddhas raider Gulveer Singh and former U.P. Yoddhas defender Shubham Kumar were signed by Yamuna Yodhas for ₹1.2 lakh and ₹1 lakh, respectively.
Gulveer made his PKL debut in Season 5 with the U.P. Yoddhas. He re-joined the team in Season 7 after missing out on PKL Season 6. The Indian raider was back with the UP-based franchise ahead of PKL 9 for his third stint with the club.
Overall, he has earned 16 points (11 raid points and nine tackle points) from nine matches across four years.
Shubham Kumar, on the other hand, was part of the U.P. Yoddhas squad in PKL 2021 and 2022. He earned 32 points from 21 matches in his debut PKL season and followed it up with six points from 11 matches in his ninth edition of the Pro Kabaddi League.
