The Patna Pirates and the Bengal Warriorz battle it out in the 55th match of Pro Kabaddi 2024 on Friday, November 15. The Noida Indoor Stadium will host the game.

The Pirates have been one of the most exciting teams to watch this season. With five wins in nine matches, they find themselves in a good position despite their 32-37 defeat to the Haryana Steelers in their last outing.

Their opponents, the Bengal Warriorz, have been inconsistent and unpredictable with their performances this season, beating the Haryana Steelers and tying with the Puneri Paltan, but losing 28-47 to arguably the worst team in terms of form in PKL 11 in the Gujarat Giants.

They certainly have the firepower to challenge the best teams in the league, however, and that should make this match a thrilling encounter.

On that note, let's look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks for this one.

#3 Navdeep (DEF) (PAT) (11.5 Credits)

Patna Pirates' Navdeep could be a handy Dream11 differential option if he makes it to the starting 7 for this fixture. The utility defender is capable of deputizing across multiple positions in the defensive line, and in five appearances, he has notched up six tackle points so far.

While he has been in and out of the team, his four tackle point haul against the Jaipur Pink Panthers illustrates what he can do if given a consistent starting spot on the team. With a Dream11 points potential similar to Nitesh Kumar from the Tamil Thalaivas, Navdeep is a surprise pick who could deliver the goods for his backers.

#2 Praveen Thakur (ALL) (BEN) (12 Credits)

The Bengal Warriorz's Praveen Thakur could be crucial in stopping the Patna Pirates' marauding raiders like Ayan Lohchab, Sudhakar M, and even Jang Kun Lee. The left-cover defender has just seven tackle points in as many matches and needs to improve soon.

However, he has held onto his spot in the starting 7 ahead of Shreyas Umbardand and is likely to do so ahead of this match. He's likely to get plenty of opportunities to score tackle points on left raiders, with him and Nitesh Kumar being closest to the raiders' starting points, making it easier for them to initiate tackles.

While by no means a proven or reliable pick, Praveen is a very low-owned Dream11 differential with a huge upside if he does deliver in this fixture.

#1 Sushil Kambrekar (ALL) (BEN) (11 Credits)

In a completely incomprehensible move, the Bengal Warriorz benched one of the finds of their season Sushil Kambrekar in their last couple of outings, playing Pranay Rane instead, and they've paid the price, losing heavily to the Gujarat Giants in their last fixture.

Sushil came on as a substitute and provided much-needed impetus into the game, scoring four raid points and one tackle point, and is very likely to return to the starting 7 for this fixture.

He has been an electric raider with plenty of energy and mostly picks up touch points, and that's a positive sign from a Dream11 perspective. He's also eager to help out in defense and is pretty good at putting in ankle holds from the in positions, much like what Amirmohammad Zafardanesh does for U Mumba.

If he does start, he's an absolute steal at 11 credits and would be a stellar Dream11 surprise pick.
