UP Yoddha scripted a miraculous comeback in PKL 2018 to reach the final 3 after being in the bottom-half of the table for a major part of the league stage. Their lead defender, Nitesh Kumar played the key role in the team's sudden change of fortunes. The defender had got great support from the team's raiding department as well.

Rishank Devadiga was the cornerstone of their raiding department but he has been left out this year and, thus, Uttar Pradesh will love to snap their local boy, Rahul Chaudhari in the auction this year. Chaudhari's home town, Bijnour is in Uttar Pradesh and the homeboy would receive a lot of support from the home crowd if the UP Yoddha manages to buy him.

UP Yoddha have maximized their budget by letting Devadiga go, which will make them one of the leading candidates to sign Rahul.
