The Pro Kabaddi League is all set to go global with the PKL Melbourne Raid event, where two exhibition matches will be played at the iconic John Cain Arena on December 28, 2024.
Before the Aussie Raiders take on the Pro Kabaddi All Stars, the stars of the past will descend upon the mat when the PKL All-Star Mavericks take on the PKL All-Star Masters.
The Mavericks' squad, coached by E Bhaskaran, boasts of the likes of captain Ajay Thakur, Pardeep Narwal, and Deepak Hooda alongside many other PKL legends of the past.

Let's take a look at the possible starting seven that could play for the Mavericks:
Corners: Nitin Rawal (left) & Nitesh Kumar (right)
One of the best left corners in PKL 11, Nitin Rawal has amassed 74 tackle points in 21 matches and is likely to finish in the top five defenders of the tournament. He is one of the very few players who have been instrumental in the Bengaluru Bulls' squad.
After six seasons at the UP Yoddhas, Nitesh Kumar made a move to the Bengal Warriorz in PKL 11. With 51 tackle points in 20 matches, Nitesh has had a below-par season and will now feature in the all-stars' game.

Mayur Kadam, another member of the Bengal Warriorz squad, did not have the best of seasons this year. He has 33 tackle points in 17 matches and has been replaced by Vaibhav Garje in the starting seven in the past few matches.
Deepak Hooda is considered one of the best all-rounders to have graced Pro Kabaddi League. Before his retirement, he has amassed 1119 points in his PKL career, 1020 of which were from raiding. He can play as the all-rounder of the Mavericks team and give them the fourth raiding option.
Raiders: Ajay Thakur (c), Pardeep Narwal, Sachin Tanwar
A former Indian team captain Ajay Thakur will be leading the PKL All Time Mavericks side. Currently serving as the assistant coach of the now-knocked-out defending champions Puneri Paltan, Ajay will be making it to Melbourne to show his skills on the court once again.
The hero of the Indian side at the Kabaddi World Cup 2016, Ajay's raiding turned the match in the Indian team's favor in the final against Iran. Ajay Thakur has had an illustrious PKL career too, with 794 raid points.
PKL's Record-Breaker and Dubki King Pardeep Narwal will also be a part of this squad. With his reflexes having slowed, he failed to get the big points for the Bengaluru Bulls this year. However, with unparalleled achievements, Pardeep will step onto the court for the Mavericks.
Finally, PKL 11's most expensive player at INR 2.15 Cr, Sachin Tanwar, had a season to forget. He managed just 76 raid points in 16 games and failed to deliver on the hefty price tag. However, he will serve as a key part of the Mavericks team and is likely to be their do-or-die raid specialist.
Bench: Rakesh HS, Aditya Powar, Priyank Chandel, Aadesh, and Nitin.
