The Puneri Paltan who thrashed U Mumba on Sunday by a huge margin were defeated by the defending champions Patna Pirates on the next day. The Manjeet Chhillar led team who are viewed as strong title contenders looked sluggish in both attack and defence against Patna. Meanwhile, the Dabangs from Delhi lost their opening fixture against the Bengal Warriors as they look to register their first win against the destructive Pune side.
The Live Streaming for the game between the Puneri Paltan and Dabang Delhi will be available on starsports.com from 20:00 IST. The match will be telecasted live from DOME @ NSCI SVP Stadium, Mumbai, and will be aired on Star Sports 2 (HD) in English and Star Sports 3 (HD) in Hindi.
The Strong Pune side after two successive wins against Titans and Mumbai, looked vulnerable on Monday, as both Ajay Thakur and Manjeet Chhillar never had any raid or tackle points in the first half. Ajay Thakur who has 15 raid points including three super raids against U Mumba has been completely out-of-sorts when he came against the powerful Patna defence.
The experienced Manjeet Chhillar hardly had any clue on how to stop Patna’s raiders, especially the 19-year-old Pradeep Narwal, who caused a lot of problems for Pune’s skipper. The 30-year-old needs to come to the party against the North Indian side on Tuesday.
Dabang Delhi, on the other hand, were not able to overcome the Bengal Warriors despite Meraj Shekyh’s heroics in both attack and defence. The Iranian saved the team on two occasions when they were on the verge of suffering an all out in the first half. The less fancied Delhi side had a slender lead at the half-time but couldn’t capitalise in the second half.
The star raider Kashiling Adake who had a forgettable last season should turn up against Pune along with the other raiders Prashanth Kumar and Deepak Narwal. The defence of Dabang Delhi looked shaky against the Warriors as Prashanth Chavan was completely out of Zone in the right corner. The former Jaipur defender has a huge task on his hands against Ajay Thakur and Sonu Narwal
It’s 3-3 in the previous six outings against each other but the composition of the Pune side looks sturdy this time and the Dabangs need to put a strong show at the SVP stadium in order to produce a great upset.
Delhi, who mostly rely on the raiders to come out successful against the Paltans. Let’s see how far they thrive against Pune’s challenge.
