Playing their second home game this season of the Pro Kabaddi League season 4, a low on confidence Telugu Titans squad will take on a mediocre Bengal Warriors for what will be deemed as the ‘Bottom of the table clash’ at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. Runners-up from season 2, the Titans have had a disastrous season so far, failing to grab a single win from their three games.
The Live Streaming for the game between Bengal Warriors and Telugu Titans will be available on starsports.com from 21:00 hours IST. The match will be telecasted live from the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad and will be aired on Star Sports 2 (HD)/Star Sports 2 in English and Star Sports 3 /Star Sports 3 (HD) in Hindi.
The Telugu Titans are still searching for their elusive first win, and will be expected to come hard against the Warriors. Rahul Chaudhari has been in some decent form, with 16 points from three games while young Vinod has grabbed many hearts with his brave tackles from the left corner, assisting Sandeep Narwal.
He was particularly in boisterous form against the Pirates where he almost took Telugu to their first win with 11 points to his name. With an 11 point lead to the Titans’ credit, they were expected to gallop to their first victory of the season, but some schoolboy errors cost them the match in the end.
Sukesh Hegde’s lack of form has been hurting the Titans to no small measure. In the three games he has featured in, the Karnataka lad has just the two points to his name and will be itching to score big against the Warriors. Sandeep Narwal has been bright in all three games, contributing through both departments and he will have to be the driving force against a defence heavy Bengal Warriors unit.
Bengal Warriors, on the other hand, have enjoyed a little bit of success from their games. After a heart-wrenching loss to the Bengaluru Bulls, they came back hard at the Dabang Delhi outfit and beat them comprehensively by a margin of 8 points with the scoreline reading 31-23. Against U-Mumba, Bengal presented a picture of a fish out of the water, gasping to stay alive in the contest.
U-Mumba never lost grip of the contest, with Anup Kumar bringing in all his experience to kill time while Rishank Devadiga was running riot in the Bengal third. Against a young and energetic Telugu line-up who have not shown their full potential yet, the Bengal defence will have a stern test ahead of them. Monu Goyat has been more than impressive for the Warriors with his raids, while Nitin Madane has provided points when needed.
The defence has also presented a tough face during most situations, led by Nilesh Shinde and complemented well by Girish Maruti Ernak which will ensure that the Titans raiders are not conferred with straightforward chances.
