Fazel's blocks and holds will be crucial against the Pirates

Joining the Gujarat squad as the priority pick ahead of the PKL auctions, Fazel has proved that he is worth every penny. Leading the squad from the left corner, the Iranian has brought all his experience into play and put in the holds and dashes to good effect but more importantly, has contributed to every tackle put in by the rest of the defenders.

With no big names in the defence unit, the onus was on Fazel to take up the responsibility right from the first game and he's done superbly well to order his troops around while also performing individually, picking up 57 points from 23 encounters.
