Action continues on Wednesday as the Jaipur Pink Panthers take on the Haryana Steelers at the DOME@NSCI SVP Stadium in Mumbai, with both the teams having played two games in the Pro Kabaddi League 2019 so far.
The Haryana Steelers started their campaign on a stellar note as they brushed past the Puneri Paltan by a 34-24 margin, with Naveen scoring 14 points, 12 raid points and two tackle points during the game as part of the Hyderabad leg.
However, the Dharmaraj Cheralathan-led side lost their second game by a margin of 20 points against Dabang Delhi on Sunday. The only bright performance for the Steelers was Naveen’s tally of 9 points in the game.
On the other hand, the Jaipur Pink Panthers have won both their games in the tournament so far. They beat arch-rivals U Mumba 23-42 in their opening game as Deepak Niwas Hooda bagged a Super 10 while defender Amit Hooda scalped his first High 5.
The inaugural season champions won the match against the Bengal Warriors by a two point margin, as the scoreline read 27-25. Sandeep Dhull scored 8 tackle points as they won the match inspite of trailing 10-14 at half time.
Predicted starting 7s
Jaipur Pink Panthers: Deepak Niwas Hooda (C), Deepak Narwal, Vishal, Amit Hooda, Sandeep Kumar Dhull, Sunil Siddhgavali and Nitin Rawal.
Haryana Steelers: Dharmaraj Cheralathan (C), Kuldeep Singh, Vikash Khandola/ Prashanth Kumar Rai, Naveen, Selvamani K, Vikas Kale and Parveen.
Match Prediction
While the Pink Panthers will look to continue their winning run in the competition, Steelers will look to leave their defeat to Dabang Delhi behind and return back to winning ways. An interesting battle to watch out for will be the one between Haryana’s raider Naveen against Jaipur defender’s Sandeep Dhull.
However, it will be difficult for the Steelers to bounce back after the defeat to Dabang Delhi and although Jaipur’s attack was below-par against Bengal Warriors, they will be expected to win the game against Haryana Steelers.
