Season 7 champions Bengal Warriorz will take on the Tamil Thalaivas in the 57th match of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 11. The match will be played at the Noida Indoor Stadium, starting from 8.00 pm onwards.

Both teams have had fairly good starts but see themselves currently lodged in the bottom half of the table. The Bengal Warriorz are placed ninth in the points table, with the Tamil Thalaivas sitting a spot below them at 10th place.

The Bengal Warriorz had three contrasting results to start their season, with a loss, a win, and then a tie in the first three games. They have played nine games so far and have three wins and four losses along with two tied games against the U Mumba and defending champions Puneri Paltan. Their most recent game against the Patna Pirates saw them go down by 31-52.

The Tamil Thalaivas had a great start with two wins in two games but since then their fortunes have dwindled and currently see them seated 10th in the points table with three wins and five losses. They also had a tied game against the Jaipur Pink Panthers and their most recent contest against the U Mumba saw them go down 32-35.

On that note, here are three player battles you need to watch out for in this contest:

#1 Maninder Singh vs Sahil Gulia

Bengal Warriorz star raider Maninder Singh is the backbone of their offensive unit. In the nine games so far, he has picked up 53 raid points, with an average of 5.89 and two Super 10s to his name.

Sahil Gulia will be a favorite as the Thalaivas defender has managed 25 tackle points in nine matches. He averages 2.78 points with two High 5s to his name. It will be an interesting battle between the right raider and the left corner.

#2 Sachin Tanwar vs Fazel Atrachali

One of the most expensive acquisitions in the auction, Sachin Tanwar has come good for the Thalaivas, with the raider having earned 69 points so far with a raid strike rate of 36 and a tackle strike rate of 78. He has a total of two Super 10s to his name to go with one Super Tackle this season.

He will be up against Fazel Atrachali, who breached the 500 tackle points barrier earlier this season. Fazel has a total of 28 tackle points, with two High 5s to his name along with 5 Super Tackles. The battle between them will be one to watch out for.

#3 Narender Kandola vs Nitesh Kumar

Our final player battle sees Narender Kandola of the Tamil Thalaivas take on Nitesh Kumar of the Bengal Warriorz. Kandola has put in 143 raids so far, with a total of 67 raid points to his name and three Super 10s. The raider also averages 7.44 points per game.

On the other end, Nitesh Kumar has 18 tackle points from the 40 tackles he has attempted this season. He is yet to register a High 5, but has a Super Tackle to his name, averaging 2.12 successful tackles per game.
