Match number 71 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 will see Gujarat Giants and Telugu Titans lock horns on Saturday, November 23. Noida Indoor Stadium, Noida, will play host to the contest which will begin at 8:00 pm IST.
Both teams have had contrasting fortunes this season, with the Gujarat Giants sitting at number 11 on the points table. Their most recent 39-39 draw against Dabang Delhi KC saw them go up from the last place and they will be aiming to hold onto it for as long as possible.
As for Telugu Titans, the change of seasons has brought about a change in their fortunes which sees them seated at the second spot on the points table with eight wins out of 12. Most recently, they beat Bengal Warriorz and grabbed the second spot.
The two teams will be playing their first game against each other this season and it will be interesting to see how things turn out. On that note, look at three player-battles to watch out for in this contest.
Pro Kabaddi 2024, Gujarat Giants vs Telugu Titans: 3 player-battles to watch out for
#1 Vijay Malik vs Himanshu Singh
Telugu Titans skipper Vijay Malik has done well recently in the absence of Pawan Sehrawat. With three Super 10s and 79 points so far in the tournament, he has been tough to handle by defenses across the league.
Facing him will be Himanshu. In eight games so far, he has earned 19 tackle points with a High 5 to his name. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this battle.
#2 Shankar Gadai vs Parteek Dahiya
A regular feature in the Titans lineup, Shankar Gadai has picked up 12 tackle points with 23 raids at a strike rate of 52%. He will be hoping to have another cracking day on the mat today.
On the other end, Parteek Dahiya will be aiming to have another great day in the middle. With 47 raid points in the season, he has been a bit slow but would want to pull his socks up and come out on top at the end of this contest.
#3 Ankit vs Guman Singh
The last player battle on the list features Ankit, who will be at the center of the action tonight. He has so far picked up 19 tackle points with two Super Tackles to go with his name.
Up against him is Guman Singh, who hasn't fired on all cylinders for his new franchise. 75 points and three Super 10s to his name haven't quite lived up to the price tag he got at the auction. With about half the season gone, he would want to turn things around and lead Gujarat to the top half of the table.
