Pro Kabaddi 2024, Telugu Titans vs U Mumba: 3 Player battles to watch out for

On Wednesday night (November 20), the Telugu Titans will take on the U Mumba in Match No. 66 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2024. The two teams will be in action at 9 pm in the Noida Indoor Stadium.

U Mumba are second on the points table, having won seven matches, lost three, and tied in one. After a slow start to the season, they have quickly made up for lost time and won five of their last six matches

On the other hand, the Telugu Titans have also put up some commendable performances this season. They're seventh in the standings, having won six of their 10 matches. Most recently, the Titans got the better of the Haryana Steelers, 49-27. Earlier this month, they also edged out defending champions Puneri Paltan 34-33 in a hard-fought encounter.

#1. Ajit Chouhan vs Ankit

Ajit Chouhan has had a dream debut on the mat and is one of PKL Season 11’s best raiders. With his 102 points, the youngster is the fourth-best player this year in terms of successful raids, Super 10s, most raid points, and most player points. He has also scored the second-most Super Raids behind Patna Pirates' Devank.

Meanwhile, Ankit has been a consistent player for the Telugu Titans. Though he hasn't quite racked up points like his rival Chouhan, the right-corner has still shown impressive performances. He's picked up 16 points in the 10 matches this season, with a tackle success rate of 36%.

#2. Manjeet Dahiya vs Sagar

Having played an important role for the Patna Pirates last year, Manjeet Dahiya has quickly established himself as a lethal raider for U Mumba. He's scored 52 points in his 11 outings on the mat and has a raid strike rate of 44%.

Keeping Dahiya on his toes tonight will be the Telugu Titans’ Sagar Rawal. The right-cover is making his debut in PKL and is one of the Titans’ highest-scoring defenders. He's appeared in all of the team’s 10 matches so far and has picked up 21 points at a strike rate of 39%.

#3. Vijay Malik vs Rinku Sharma

Vijay Malik has been a raiding force for the Telugu Titans this year. The captain has been clinical on the attack, repeatedly putting up show-stopping performances. Earlier this week, Malik claimed 15 points in the Titans' clash against the UP Yoddhas, earning the Raider of the Day honor. In his most recent outing, the raider picked up eight points on the attack.

Making Malik work tonight will be the U Mumba’s Rinku Sharma. The right-corner is playing his fourth season for the team and has been a crucial part of their defense. He's racked up 24 points in his 11 matches with a tackle success rate of 48%.
