The final match of the Jaipur leg of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi resulted in yet another loss for Jaipur Pink Panthers, as they lost 35-27 to Dabang Delhi. The home team were second best throughout the tournament as they ended a horrid home leg with 3 losses.
After a dull 2 minutes, the game came into life when Kashiling Adake set the ball rolling with a successful raid. The Panthers suffered an early setback when they were trailing 6-3 after 10 minutes in the match. Kashiling returned from his raid with 2 points and with just Ran Singh of the Panthers left, the Dabangs completed the first all out of the match to set an imposing 4-11 lead in the next minute.
The Panthers, with the help of Kuldeep Singh, who turned the match on its head against the Bengaluru Bulls yesterday, closed the gap down to just 4 points as the scoreline read 9-13 in favour of the team from Delhi.
Ravinder Pahal led from the front
Jasvir Singh couldn’t get into his groove for the home team and Rohit Kumar Chaudhary showed his quality as the team went into the break leading by 7 points – 10-17. Ravinder Pahal had a spectacular half as he got 4 tackle points for the Dabangs. Kashinathan Bhaskaran’s side were left to climb a mountain to ensure the home crowd went home happy on the final day of the Jaipur leg.
The home side started the second half of the match on a positive note as they reduced the opponent’s lead to 5 after the Panthers executed a super tackle on Rohit Kumar Chaudhary and Ran Singh returned with a successful raid.
However, Ravinder, Kashi and Rohit made sure that is the closest the home side came to their team as they extended their lead to 11 points after the 30th minute. Both the teams exchanged points for the next 4 minutes before Ran Singh and Rajesh Narwal made it an 8-point game with 4 minutes left on the clock.
The away team took 4 consecutive points at that stage to make it 34-22 with just 1 minute left and ensure the home side had no chance to come back in the match. The Dabangs sealed the match at 27-35 to make it 3 wins out of 4 and condemn Jaipur to yet another loss at home. The Navneet Gautam-led team ended their home leg with 3 losses and just 1 win.
