The Mumbai leg of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 5 ended with the home team U Mumba winning two and losing three matches, with the remaining one getting postponed. This was the first time that they lost three matches at home in a season but they won their last two fixtures to reach second place in Zone A.

The Lucknow leg saw some youngsters turning in match winning performances and the Mumbai leg continued the emergence of new PKL stars. The best 7 from the Mumbai leg features a young corner combination, one of the best right covers in the business, an Iranian all-rounder and 2 super star raiders.

Sombir [Right corner]

Telugu Titans right corner Sombir produced an incredible defensive performance against the Tamil Thalaivas. He scored 10 tackle points, which were the most scored by a player in a PKL 5 match. He also scored three super tackles, the joint most by a player in a single game this season.

His influence on the Titans' fortunes can be gauged by the fact that it has been twice that he has scored High 5s and on both occasions, the Titans have won.

The man from Sangli impressed in his home leg, scoring 33 raid points in total, the most by a U Mumba player. Kashi ended the home leg scoring a Super 10, which was his first in PKL 5.

He proved his class at the end against Jaipur, where with the scores level at 32-32 in the last minute, Kashi’s successful two-point raid turned the match in favour of U Mumba. He troubled defences with his swift movements on the court, while also using his hand touch to take points. U Mumba will hope he continues his fine form.
