Kolkata, June 26 (IANS): Bengal Warriors, the Kolkata franchise of the pro-Kabaddi league, will be led by India's seasoned campaigner Surjeet Singh, team officials said here Thursday.
The franchise, promoted by India's largest retail chain Big Bazaar, unveiled a logo comprising a roaring tiger in gold and blue hue. The franchise also unveiled its jersey at a programme here.
Eight teams will be taking part in the Pro-Kabaddi League.
Bengal Warriors, coached by Raj Narain Sharma, will play their home matches against seven other teams between July 30 and August 2 at the Netaji Indoor Stadium.
The league begins July 26 in Mumbai.
