In celebration of the first-ever international yoga day, kabaddi stalwarts from Bengal Warriors, Patna Pirates and Bengaluru Bulls practiced yoga while also encouraging everyone to participate. The United Nations General Assembly declared 21st June as the International Yoga Day and the Pro Kabaddi stars eagerly took part.
Kabaddi players through the years have always benefited from yoga practice, making them expert practitioners. It helps them in increasing flexibility, holding breath for longer and maintaining fitness apart from other benefits.
Bengaluru Bulls’ captain Manjit Chillar was seen in action performing yoga to maintain fit.
Star raider Ajay Thakur credits his health and fitness to yoga. He, along with his Bulls teammates, was seen doing yoga before their training session.
The Patna Pirates also got into the spirit of International Yoga Day as they started their Sunday with yoga.
