Strengths
Defence
This season, the Gujarat Fortunegiants defence has been rock solid and very difficult to surpass. There have been very few instances, where their defence has not clicked. The right and left corner combination of Abozar Mighani and Fazel Atrachali, along with the support of left cover Parvesh Bhainswal has done wonders for this team in scoring tackle points.
The Iranian corners have impressed a lot by his advanced tackles. Mighani is second in terms of tackle points and even Atrachali is in the top 10.

Weakness
Inexperience: Although the team is topping the group table, the Fortunegiants lack the much-needed experience which is necessary to go and win the title. Sometimes the lack of experience can spell the difference between loss and win.
Too much dependency on one player: Gujarat have been depending too much on their main players. If in future matches, these players fail to execute their plans or strategies then, it would be difficult to win matches. The game against Jaipur Pink Panthers could be an eye opener for them.
The surprise packages
Mahendra Rajput: Mahendra Rajput a former Bengal warrior, has just played seven matches out of the 12 matches played by Gujarat Fortune Giants, but he has been able to surprise the viewers and the audience by his fast and accurate toe-touches and hand touches.
From the seven matches played, he has scored 27 raid points. He has used his height to his advantage throughout the matches he has played. If given the chance, he could be used in better ways.
Seong Ryeol: Seong Ryeol the player from Korea, has not played enough matches but has scored some tackle points when given a chance through substitutions. He can come handy in super tackle situations.
