Defending champions Puneri Paltan will square off against Haryana Steelers in a rematch of last season's final tonight (Saturday, October 19) in the Pro Kabaddi League. It is the first game of the new season for both franchises.
Puneri Paltan will be without Mohammadreza Shadloui this season as he has joined the Haryana Steelers, who signed him for a whopping ₹2.07 crore at the Pro Kabaddi 2024 Auction.
The Steelers have bolstered their defense by adding Shadloui to the squad. They have retained their raid unit featuring Vinay, Vishal Tate, and Shivam Patare. Coach Manpreet Singh also continues to be with the team.
Haryana will be out for revenge when they lock horns with Pune in tonight's Pro Kabaddi 2024 match. Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad, will host this game from 9 pm IST onwards. Before the rematch of the PKL 10 Final starts, here's a look at three players whom Dream11 users can select as the captain or vice-captain of their fantasy teams.
PUN vs HAR: 3 players you can pick as captain or vice-captain for Pro Kabaddi League Match 4
#1 Aslam Inamdar, Puneri Paltan
Pro Kabaddi Season 10's Most Valuable Player, Aslam Inamdar will be a safe choice for captaincy or vice-captaincy in fantasy contests of tonight's PKL match. Aslam has been the backbone of the Puneri Paltan team over the last few seasons.
He has majorly played as a raider but whenever the team has needed him, Aslam has contributed in the defense as well. Plus, as the team's skipper, he believes in leading from the front, which is why he will likely raid more times than the other players. Thus, he is also likely to score more points than others, making him a captaincy candidate for fantasy contests.
#2 Mohammadreza Shadloui, Haryana Steelers
Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Shadloui was the Best Defender of Pro Kabaddi League Season 10. He earned 99 tackle points while playing in the left corner position for Puneri Paltan, and he will now aim to do the same for the Haryana Steelers.
Haryana's coach Manpreet Singh may use him in the raid department as well because Shadloui is an underrated raider. If he plays as a complete all-rounder for the Steelers, Shadloui will likely end up scoring the highest number of points for his team.
#3 Pankaj Mohite, Puneri Paltan
Earlier this year, Puneri Paltan and Haryana Steelers locked horns in the PKL 10 final at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. It was a low-scoring game, where Pune won by 28-25.
Pankaj Mohite was the highest points scorer in that game. The new vice-captain of Puneri Paltan scored nine raid points in the big match, ensuring Pune won the tournament. Notably, all of Pankaj's nine points were touch points.
Considering that the Haryana Steelers' defense is almost the same as the one that played in the Pro Kabaddi Season 10 final earlier this year, Pankaj can be backed to perform well against them again. Plus, this is just a league game. Hence, the pressure levels will be low, allowing Pankaj to play more freely.
