The Telugu Titans lock horns with Dabang Delhi KC in the 18th match of PKL 11 on Saturday, October 26. The Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad will host the game.
Dabang Delhi KC will be looking to return to winning ways after suffering a 28-23 defeat to the UP Yoddhas in a cagey game where their raiders struggled. A match against the leaky Titans defense would be just what they needed, and Ashu Malik and Naveen Kumar's team will head into this one as favorites.
Meanwhile, the Titans' illusions of a better season brought on by their opening-day triumph have quickly faded after back-to-back crushing defeats at the hands of the Yoddhas and the Jaipur Pink Panthers.
Let's now look at the top three Dream11 surprise picks for this match.
#3 Ajit Pawar (ALL - TEL; 13 Credits)
Titans' left cover Ajit Pawar has been a staple in their starting 7 since he made his debut last season, and more often than not, he has been their best defender. Like the Titans, Ajit hasn't made a good start this season, scoring only four tackle points in three matches.
However, he is their first-choice left cover who has a knack for timing his tackles well and usually remains on the court for a longer period. When the regular left corner is sent to the bench, he often deputizes in that position in 1v5 and 1v4 situations, increasing the chances of him securing both Dream11 and actual tackle points.
A proven and consistent performer like him in a category that doesn't offer too many solid alternatives is a quality Dream11 surprise pick.
#2 Ankit Jaglan (DEF - TEL; 12.5 Credits)
Telugu Titans left corner Ankit Jaglan has been overlooked by many as a Dream11 option ahead of this match, but at the price of 12.5 credits, he could offer great value.
The left corner hasn't had the best of starts to the season, scoring only four tackle points in three matches, but that's just a reflection of how much the Titans have struggled. Ankit did have a good game against the Bulls, scoring three tackle points, and that's a game his side won.
They're likely to continue backing him throughout this tournament primarily due to the unavailability of a quality replacement. Any left corner who starts for a team is a potentially dangerous Dream11 pick and Ankit Jaglan could be a successful Dream11 differential.
#1 Naveen Kumar (RAI - DEL; 14 Credits)
The Naveen Express needs little introduction to any Kabaddi fan. Since he burst onto the scene back in PKL 6, Naveen has been one of the best raiders in the league and is the sixth-highest raid point-scorer in PKL history, and is one of six players to cross the 1000-raid point mark.
He was in terrific form before his season-ending injury last season, but he hasn't got going in PKL 11 yet, with only six raid points in two matches. However, a game against the out-of-form Telugu Titans might just be what he needs to resurrect his form and confidence.
Naveen scored 14 raid points in his solitary meeting with the Titans last season and looks set to haul big again. An ownership of around 30% is too low for a player of his caliber. He's a top-class Dream11 differential for your teams.
