In Match No. 96 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 5, the Telugu Titans will take the battle to the mat against the Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in New Delhi as a part of the Inter-Zone Challenge Week.
The Titans are coming off a long break post their 26-26 tie against the Bengaluru Bulls in Ranchi while the Jaipur Pink Panthers are coming into this encounter on the back of a loss against the Haryana Steelers.
It has been three matches since the Telugu Titans notched up a win and hence they will be on the hunt for one against the Panthers. Rahul Chaudhari will yet again look to lead his troops from the front as he spearheads the attack of the side.
He will be assisted in his endeavours by Nilesh Salunkhe, who has been quite consistent in the season and the foreign import, Mohsen Maghsoudlou. The defence is bolstered by the presence of two young guns in the likes of Vishal Bhardwaj and Sombir who have become a potent force to reckon with given their lethal tackles. To complete the starting seven, the experienced campaigners Farhad Milaghardhan and Rohit Rana will be included in the scheme of things.
On the other hand, Jaipur Pink Panthers, have benefitted when it comes to the form of their youngsters who have stepped up for them on numerous occasions. All-rounders in the likes of Nitin Rawal, Siddharth Dahiya and Sunil have been particularly impressive. Mentored on the mat by the very experienced Manjeet Chhillar, the side has become a threat to the other teams.
The raid department is also well-equipped with the likes of Pawan Kumar and Tushar Patil coming to the fore and managing to keep the scoreboard ticking at all points in time. Ajit Singh and Somvir Shekhar have also made some vital contributions to the side when it comes to effecting key tackles at the opportune moments.
Telugu Titans vs Jaipur Pink Panthers match prediction
Both the sides look evenly matches for the encounter on paper, but the advantage still tilts in favour of the Jaipur Pink Panthers. This is because if the Jaipur defence comes to the party led by Manjeet Chhillar and if they manage to put Rahul Chaudhari and Nilesh Salunkhe out of the equation, which is very likely, then the Titans will find it difficult to stage a comeback solely on the basis of their defence, particularly Vishal and Sombir.
