Ahead of the fifth season of the Pro Kabaddi League 2017, Nitin Tomar grabbed the headlines as the costliest buy in the auctions, procured by the U.P Yoddha for 93 lakh rupees.
Tomar went on to captain the Yoddha to the knockouts stage and finished the season with 167 points from 20 games, missing out on a couple of games owing to injuries. After a good PKL season, Tomar was also picked in the Indian squad that travelled to Iran to take part in the Asian Kabaddi Championships.
