South Korean Tae Deok Eom painted a picture of energy and enthusiasm in the Patna Pirates side. Wearing jersey number 66, the 31-year-old lifted the crowd every time he went in for a raid while celebrating vivaciously after every tackle.

The all-rounder scored 11 raid points and 5 tackle points despite featuring only in the latter stages of the tournament, which coincided with Patna's return to form. It is a mystery why the energetic Korean was not fielded earlier by the Pirates as whenever he stepped on the mat, he raised the energy levels of the entire team and the stadium.

#4 Hadi Oshtorak (Iran)

The most expensive player in the league suffered an unfortunate injury which cut short his campaign. Hadi Oshtorak was bought by Telugu Titans for a massive 21.1 lakhs ahead of the second season. The all-rounder played just 4 matches, but won his team 7 tackle points before the unfortunate injury.

The 23-year-old was a rock at the back for the Titans and provided Rahul Chaudhari, Sukesh Hegde and Prashant Rai a solid platform to raid freely. The Titans fans will be eagerly waiting for the third season to see this foreigner deliver what he promised in abundance in his debut season.

#3 Fazel Atrachali (Iran)

Iranian captain Fazel Atrachali was roped in by U Mumba at the start of the second season for Rs. 4 lakhs and the defender rose to the occasion whenever given a chance. With U Mumba doing extremely well, Fazel did not get many chances until they had secured qualification for the playoffs.

The 23-year-old was spectacular in his team's win in the Maharashtra derby in Pune and carried the baton for his team in a loss to Telugu Titans. Owing to these performances, Fazel was given starting berths in the semi-final and the final and he did not look out of place. In the 5 matches he played, he scored a total of 12 points and showed what he could deliver for U Mumba in the third season.

#2 Jang Kun Lee (South Korea)

Jang Kun Lee of South Korea was one of the few positives in an otherwise disappointing campaign for Bengal Warriors. The 23-year-old raider had a promising first season and delivered yet again in the second edition by becoming the top-scoring foreign raider with 48 points while scoring a couple of tackle points as well.

He was also named as the captain of the Warriors team in the latter stages of the tournament despite the language barrier. Due to his smart raids, he became a crowd favourite and the posterboy for Bengal Warriors. The team would once again be built around him in the third season.

#1 Meraj Sheykh (Iran)

Unarguably the best overseas player of the season, Meraj Sheykh had a flurry of achievements to his name. The Irani all-rounder made his intentions clear since the first match for Telugu Titans, putting an all-round show to grab 10 points for himself to win two awards in the same match. In the second half of the season, the Irani was handed the captaincy of the team and he led the team to 3rd place in the tournament.

He scored 38 points in 15 matches in the second season and fully justified his Rs. 20.1 lakh price tag. He was one of only 2 foreigners to captain a team and the 27-year-old did not look out of depth with the added burden of captaining the team.
