The iconic punk rock band, Dropkick Murphys, has set the stage ablaze with the announcement of their highly anticipated Fall 2023 US tour. After a string of successful acoustic albums featuring the works of folk legend Woody Guthrie, the band members will be making a mark this year with their America tour.

Dropkick Murphys will perform in major cities across the United States, with The Interrupters and emerging star Jesse Ahern accompanying them on the tour.

Live Nation presale for the tour began on Thursday, May 18, at 10 am local time via TicketMaster, while general sales will begin on Friday, May 19, at 10 am local time. Dropkick Murphys will kickstart their tour in Bangor and end in Huntington

Dropkick Murphys will kick off the months-long scheduled tour with their concert in Bangor, scheduled to take place on September 27, 2023. After visiting several cities across America, the band will finally wrap up their tour with their Huntington concert on October 29, 2023.

Dropkick Murphys is an American Celtic punk band that originated in Quincy, Massachusetts, in 1996. The band's unique sound combines elements of punk rock, Irish folk music, and aggressive vocals, creating a distinctive and energetic style. Dropkick Murphys gained significant recognition for their high-energy live performances and anthemic songs.

The band's debut album, Do or Die, was released in 1998. It showcased their fusion of punk rock and traditional Irish folk music, featuring tracks like Barroom Hero and Boys on the Docks. Do or Die received positive reviews and set the foundation for its future success.

Dropkick Murphys' most commercially successful album to date is The Warrior's Code (2005), which sold over 500,000 copies.

I'm Shipping Up to Boston was the lead single from The Warrior's Code and was a commercial success, reaching number 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It has become an anthem associated with the band and is often played at sporting events and other gatherings.
