On November 15, 1969, the first Wendy's restaurant was opened in Columbus, Ohio. After that, gradually, the company gained a lot of fame. The brand is well known for its fresh beef square patties, cold sweets, crispy chicken products, burgers, fries, and seasoned potatoes.
The brand often takes the limelight for frequently updating its menus with fresh specials, offers, and incentives. The restaurant business recently made the headlines for returning its 2-for $3 mix-and-match breakfast offer, starting on August 22.
On August 22, the company announced an official press release stating that the brand is taking inspiration from its competitor, Taco Bell, and introducing some new Tex-Mex items to its menu. It is adding new food items to its Made to Crave line-up menu. The new items are the Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger and Queso Fries.
Wendy's new deal will be available only for a short period
According to their official website, the brand Wendy's now has over 6,500 restaurants as of August 2023, with over 350 company-owned and over 6,000 franchised. 92% of all the restaurants' locations are in North America.
The restaurant brand is well-known for its sea salt fries, square hamburger patties served on round buns, and the Frosty, a soft-serve ice cream treat. The main items on the Wendy's menu include hamburgers, french fries, chicken sandwiches, and drinks.
However, the business does not have a hallmark sandwich like the Burger King Whopper or the McDonald's Big Mac.
The brand is back again with exciting menu items, like the Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger and Queso Fries. However, it's vital to remember that only the participating restaurants will offer these items. Customers must visit their local restaurant, check their website, or download the app in order to buy these new menu items.
Interested customers can also utilize the meal delivery app Doordash to deliver the products right to their door.
The establishment has already declared the cost of these items. The price of the Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger is $6.69, and the Queso Fries are $3.29.
It's an ongoing offer. However, although these items will only be available for a limited period, the restaurant hasn't yet specified when these offers will stop.
The new burger goes perfectly with the queso fries. Shredded cheddar cheese is sprinkled on top of the crispy side of the fries. It is then covered in the same poblano queso as the new burger.
While mentioning these items, the Wendy's Company's Global Vice President of Culinary Innovation, John Li, said that:
"We're always looking to push the envelope with our signature Hot and Crispy Fries to give our fans layers of delicious flavors combined with the crispiness you won't find anywhere else. Our new Queso Fries are the perfect crispy complement to our Loaded Nacho Sandwich, delivering fans a classic tailgating experience, bite after bite."
In the news above release, Wendy's stated the following addressing the forthcoming football season:
“This winning combination of crunchy, cheesy goodness will have fans waving goodbye to their bland meals and transferring to Wendy’s. It’s time for a flavor upgrade".
Apart from the fries, the new cheeseburger has been added to the menu. Melty cheese, tortilla strips, roasted poblano queso, lettuce, hot corn, and tomato are added to the new cheeseburger as toppings. The burger is then sandwiched with jalapeno cheddar bread. It is further covered with sizzling chipotle sauce.
On game day, the fans can even substitute the beef for those who are "team chicken." They will have an extraordinary experience thanks to the intense fusion of flavors and spices sandwiched between a towering jalapeno cheddar bread.
While addressing the cheeseburger, Lindsay Radkoski, the Chief Marketing Officer of the Wendy's US locations, stated that Wendy's is committed to delivering outstanding, craveable experiences for its devoted fans, and their talented culinary team continues to do so with their stacked Made to Crave deal.
The firm claims that the new Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger pays tribute to two iconic American items, nachos and cheeseburgers, and will convince customers to switch to Wendy's this season instead of the competition.
