Right so, the Aachen Rising Stars end up with just 70 in their 10 overs and Bonn Rising Stars have handed them a crushing defeat here. It will be a massive boost for the Net Run rate of the Bonn side while it will have a negative impact for the Aachen Stars.

Varun Reddy started the innings with a flourish but it never really got going as they kept loosing wickets at regular intervals. Leela Gurugubelli ran through the top order and they lost five wickets inside the powerplay. They were 7 down before the halfway stage and at one stage they looked like folding up before the 10th over. Usama Ali stepped up though and he played a fighting innings of 23 as he helped them to save the blushes.

We saw the first hattrick of the series as Gurugubelli took a 4-fer and managed to rock the Aachen Stars early on. He ran through the top order and once he had done that the stars were no longer in a position to come back into the game. Star bowler Shirzad also picked up two wickets as did Gajera and Naqvi towards the back end of the innings.
