Anustup Majumdar (Winning Captain, Adamas Howrah Warriors) : Last match was a poor batting display. Wanted to change things around. We wanted to utilise the power play while batting, it was not going well. Even today, we did not do great but just lost a single wicket. Asif has not played a lot of cricket in the Bengal circuits, he is relatively unknown, we know that he would be a handful. The bowling has been good as well, we might have conceded a bit too many boundaries at the end but overall, it has been a solid effort, not much to complain about.

Asif Hossain (Man of The Match, Adamas Howrah Warriors) : The pitch was great, it was coming on to the bat, it was truly enjoyable. The plan was to play fearless cricket, I was confident to back myself. I wanted to target the left arm spinner. Apart from that, it was all about watching the ball properly and reacting to it. The showing of the back was to say my name can be remembered.

Manoj Tiwary (Harbour Diamonds captain): We conceded too many runs upfront. And we know that the average score hasn't been crossing 140 so conceding 180 was always going to be difficult. Then we have faltered to give good starts in the powerplay, which again happened today. We need to regroup and hopefully, we'll win a game then,. Absolutely, great to see such talent (Asif Hossain). That's what this tournament is for. Chandre's innings was outstanding too. If he keeps on going with his work ethic and stays down the earth, the sky's the limit.

Harbour Diamonds were never in the race. They go down for the 4th time in as many matches. They were subjected to the misery very early in the chase as they lost their opening 3 wickets within the 4 overs even before any of the spinners were introduced into the bowling attack. Mondal, who had a 50 to his name early on in this tournament was the first to depart before Manoj Tiwary was forced to leave following a very sharp fielding effort where Pankaj Shaw displayed high levels of awareness amidst a leg before appeal.

Warriors only had 12 hours to get their minds right, bodies right and strategies intact. And they did that. In a chase which was the highest target of the tournament, they kept chipping away at regular intervals. When Anustup Majumdar stepped out to the field with his men, his game plan was clear and it has all fallen into place after a very different story yesterday evening. An orange cap with tiger stripes on his head also tells us how he has been able to lead with example.

Saksham Chaudhary, who picked up a 5-fer in this tournament, 2 wickets last night, came into this game only when 95 runs were needed from 36 balls. His first 4 balls went for 17 runs on a day when most his bowling colleagues enjoyed reasonably good outings. Badal Balyan came in as impact player and the hard hitter really did provide some impetus and impact to the chase. 23 runs came off that over.

In the end, it was a bit too far for the Diamonds. Pacers for Warriors in Kanishk Seth and Saksham Sharma kept it watertight while the spinners also made things tough for Tiwary and his men. Presentations to follow soon.
