Not much to say here, The batters have demolished the bowling attack with some absolute ease, the Adelaide Strikers have finally put a halt to their losing streak against the Sixers as they win by quite a handsome margin and they are going to the play offs! The batters, from the word go were looking brutal as Renshaw hit a half century along with Cockbain, who also hit a 50 plus which got them an easy win and the two wickets did absolutely no damage to the batting attack as they managed to get the win with almost 3 overs remaining. The Strikers have a chance of lifting the BBL trophy in this tournament and they have played beautifully in the last couple of games and they will surely look to do the same in the games to come.
Thank you so much for tuning in for yet another BBL game. This is Soorya and Pranav signing off. Until next time.
Adelaide Strikers won by 8 wickets
Ian Cockbain (Player of the Match): It was obviously nice to get a hit out there. The wicket was good and it was one of those days it came off the middle. Was playing a bit of club cricket in Melbourne. Things fell into place and here I am. It's been a bit overwhelming to be honest. Four wins in a row and going in with a bit of momentum obviously helps. I've watched a lot of Big Bash over the years and know the players having watched them but haven't really played against them. Still learning on the job but so far it's been great.
17.3 Dan Christian to Jono Wells, FOUR! SEALED IN STYLE! Shaping back into a good length outside off, Wells hangs deep and glides it expertly into the gap in front of point to seal the contest with a handsome boundary. Out of nowhere, down from the abyss, Adelaide Strikers have secured qualification into the knockouts! They beat Sydney Sixers by 8 wickets with 15 deliveries to spare!
17.2 Dan Christian to Jono Wells, length delivery that tails in a touch, Wells walks across and presses forward to pat it to the bowler's left.
17.1 Dan Christian to Jono Wells, overpitched outside off, Wells leans into a drive that goes straight to cover. He'll have to wait just a little longer.
The next over is going to be the last over of this match as Adelaide Strikers finally put a halt on the losing streak against the Sixers.

16.6 Hayden Kerr to Ian Cockbain, back of a length slower delivery outside off, Cockbain hangs back and scythes it straight to point. Rare dot ball!
16.5 Hayden Kerr to Ian Cockbain, SIX! CLUBBED! No adjective could aptly vindicate this shot - it was dug short outside off and angled in, Cockbain stands tall and mows it with all might over mid-wicket. The ball made a sweet sound as it left the blade and had six written all over it. The scores are level!
16.4 Hayden Kerr to Jono Wells, short and angled into the leg-stump, Wells backs away and heaves a pull to the fielder at deep backward square leg for another single.
16.3 Hayden Kerr to Ian Cockbain, back of a length delivery on the fourth-stump line, Cockbain makes room and clogs it towards mid-off for another single.
16.2 Hayden Kerr to Jono Wells, full and shaping into middle and leg, Wells hangs back and works it off the full face of the blade to long on for a solitary run.
16.1 Hayden Kerr to Ian Cockbain, short of a length slower delivery on off, Cockbain backs away and pumps it over cow corner where the fielder collects it on the bounce. Single taken!
Just a 4 runs coming off that over but the batters will look to make this their training ground here.

15.6 Todd Murphy to Ian Cockbain, fired into a full length around off, Cockbain gets forward and works it off his wrists towards long on to retain strike.
15.5 Todd Murphy to Jono Wells, not much room to work with as this one comes in quicker on a good length, Wells rocks back to ease himself into a punch towards sweeper cover as he crosses over.
15.4 Todd Murphy to Ian Cockbain, tossed up this time on a length on middle and off, Cockbain makes room and works it towards short extra cover for a quick run.
15.3 Todd Murphy to Ian Cockbain, arm ball on middle and leg, on a good length and Cockbain hangs back for a nudge to short mid-wicket.
15.2 Todd Murphy to Ian Cockbain, steps down the track as he lines him up but this one drifts in late on the off-stump, meaning that Cockbain has to adjust and tap it back to the bowler.
