Matt Short | Player of the Match: Hales is an unique batsman, moves around in the crease and has unbelievable power, but I stuck to my plans. Didn't get off to a fluent start but hung in there and got going. Lynn calmed me down and said it would get easier the longer you bat. He's (Lynn) huge in the team. He's the one carrying the team (before) and scoring all the runs, but he has allowed me to take the centre-stage.
Match result: Adelaide Strikers win by 6 wickets
Adelaide Strikers 151/4 (18.4)
Matt Short 65 | Chris Lynn 28
Sydney Thunder 150/5 (20)
Alex Hales 68 | Henry Thornton 2/18
The winning juggernaut of Adelaide Strikers continues. They are on top of the table after today's win and are unbeaten after 3 games. Chasing 151, Matthew Short set it up with an aggressive innings after the early loss of Jake Weatherald.
Short and Lynn added 83 for the 2nd wicket and despite the Strikers getting them both, Adam Hose shepherded the chase along with a cameo from Colin de Grandhomme.
For Thunder, Gurinder Sandhu and Fazalhaq Farooqi were good but the others were hit around and at the end it was a canter for the Strikers.
So a win in the 500th game of BBL and it is Adelaide's 6th successive win at home as well. They remain the team to beat at this year's competition. Hang on for who the Player of the Match is and what he has to say.
19.0
18.4 Gurinder Sandhu to Adam Hose, full on middle and leg, Hose flicks it to long on for a run, and that's that! The Strikers beat the Thunder by six wickets with eight balls to spare!
18.3 Gurinder Sandhu to Adam Hose, FOUR! SHOT! Full outside off, Hose plays the REVERSE RAMP and gets it just over the head of the fielder at short third man for a boundary! This was a risky move, but he made it by a lot of calculations and somehow it came off!
18.2 Gurinder Sandhu to Adam Hose, full on leg, Hose flicks it to deep square leg and has placed it so well that they can canter back for a two!
18.1 Gurinder Sandhu to Thomas Kelly, yorker on middle, Kelly drags it to long on for a run.

17.6 Brendan Doggett to Thomas Kelly, full outside off, Kelly drills it to deep cover for a run to end the over and retain strike. Eight runs needed now!
17.5 Brendan Doggett to Colin de Grandhomme, at a length outside off, Colin works it away to deep cover and canters through for a couple of runs. The throw comes in and the bails are whipped off in a flash, and Colin looks like he has not made the crease in time! He is RUN OUT!
17.4 Brendan Doggett to Adam Hose, full outside off, Hose flicks it to midwicket for a run.
17.3 Brendan Doggett to Adam Hose, at a length and wide outside off, Hose sees it and lets it go!
17.2 Brendan Doggett to Colin de Grandhomme, full outside off, Colin drills it to long off for a run.
17.1 Brendan Doggett to Colin de Grandhomme, SIX! Fulltoss on middle and leg, Colin simply opens the face of his bat and helps it on its way over the deep square leg fence for a MAXIMUM! This was a very poor delivery from Doggett, and he got what he deserved!
