Commentary

That will be all from myself Abhishek alongside my colleague Lavil as we bid you goodbye on behalf of Sportskeeda! But don't go anywhere as we have the rematch between the two sides coming up next.

Two unbeaten teams going head-to-head against each other can only mean one thing. One of their streaks will come to an end. AUK put up a target of 101 to chase, which is very much gettable. However, AUM fumbled in the chase as they mustered only 86/5 in reply.

Abhishek Prajapati got run out in the most comical fashion by scoring only 3 runs as the burden of hitting boundaries fell on the shoulders of Darshit Patankar. He hit four 6s to score 34 runs at a strike rate of 154.5 while Varun Prasath (26 from 14 balls) helped him from the other end.

Jassi Singh hit two boundaries in his 12-ball sojourn where he got 11 runs on the scoreboard. AUM required 28 runs to win from the last three overs but they crumbled like a pack of cards as they got only 13 runs.

From the bowling end, Justin Shaju was the most expensive one as he conceded 34 runs without picking any wickets. It was the fielding of AUK that made the difference as they got three players run out.

Sujesh Appu picked up the remaining two wickets by conceding only 10 runs in two overs. And with that, AUK remains the only unbeaten team in Group B of ECS T10 Malta Encore.

Some selfish batting from Varun early in the over to deny singles and in the end it backfires as he fails to hit any big shots. He gets RUN OUT as well and in the end, AUK win the match by 14 runs.
