The Netherlands certainly have had a day to forget today. They were on the wrong side of quite a few records being broken. It was bound to happen at some point - David Warner and Steven Smith set the tone early on, and shunned the Netherlands out of the game right away. The 5-time Men's World Cup winners needed this exact result going into the second half of their fixtures, starting with a cracking contest against New Zealand.
Pat Cummins, Australia captain: It was the complete game. Put on 400, couldn't be more happier. Me and Maxwell put on 100, would like to think we'd contributed equally (chuckles). You've got no options as a bowler when the hitting is as clean as that. We are starting to play to our potential and play in the style we talk about. We had another good batting powerplay. Wickets in the powerplay are what we are looking for as a unit. We've bowled quite well but without a lot of luck. Prepped as good as we can be. (On the upcoming game against New Zealand) They're a good side, they've played in Dharamsala before. Its a big game, its a World Cup.
Scott Edwards, Netherlands captain: They're a quality unit, are Australia. Defending 400, they've got class bowlers, and they were simply better today. We missed our executions by a touch, and were being hit out of the park. Full credit to the Australians, and they took the game away. Pretty nice wicket, the ball travels pretty quickly along the ground. The margins are smaller. (On the Netherlands opening duo) They're a big part of the reason we're here. As a batting unit, we have to click in the last four games. We got to move on quickly and prepare for the next few games.
Glenn Maxwell is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: Yeah its probably not something what I was thinking. All I was thinking was about the platform and then cut loose in the death overs. Nice to get some rhythm back in the tournament. I think making good decisions at the start of my innings. I haven't been doing in that in the last few innings. Giving myself the platform and the confidence. Its a huge confidence booster. Some doubts creep in when you are not scoring and hopefully I can ride on this. Its a perfect game for us. Everything went right with bat, ball and in the field. We are certainly getting the momentum at the right time after three back to back wins.

To tell you the truth, there's not much to write about the Netherlands batting. They tried putting up a fight early on, but went on to wilt under the pressure and against the sheer quality of this Australian bowling attack. The pacers wreaked havoc - claiming the first half of the Netherlands batting line-up, combined with some brilliance on the field, and then, Adam Zampa went on to wrap things up, flummoxing the batters with his wrong-uns.
Vikramjit Singh looked the most promising of the lot among the Netherlands batters early on. Despite playing and missing on several occasions with some questionable feet movement, he began to find his groove eventually, timing the ball well enough. But he was always going to be a run out candidate today with all the hesitation early on, and that was exactly what took place as Maxwell caught him short with an accurate throw from mid off.
The Australia bowlers weren't able to hit the right lengths early on, but once they began finding their groove, the job became all the more easy for him. Starc, Hazlewood, Cummins and Mitchell Marsh all got in among the wickets eventually. Adam Zampa then went on to make light work of the Netherlands' lower-order, taking 4 for 8 with googlies disguised well enough to fox the batters. The Aussie leggie reaches the top of the wicket-taking charts in the World Cup over the course of the spell. The presentations are coming right up...
What on earth happened there?! One moment, the ball was rolling along on the floor, but all of a sudden, the Australians were celebrating as the bails laid on the floor! Tell you what's happened - the ball did roll along the floor, but not before it made contact with the stumps with van Meekeren's foot well past the crease! And with that, Australia complete the biggest victory in Men's 50-over World Cup cricket - taking the honours by a staggering 309 runs!

20.6 Adam Zampa to Paul van Meekeren, This could be end of the match. A stumping call and Inglis looked very excited there. Was a fuller one angling down leg, Meekeren gets his front leg across and goes for the sweep. Misses it completely and Inglis whips off the bails in a flash. Inglis actually dropped the ball and it trickled onto the stumps with Meekeren on the line. Nothing was behind the crease and Australia wins it by 309 runs. The biggest victory in the history of World Cup cricket belongs to Australia.

He tried slogging his way out of trouble a couple deliveries ago - might as well gone for one that time! Dutt plays all around the wrong-un, and Australia are a wicket away from wrapping this up!
20.5 Adam Zampa to Aryan Dutt, WICKET! The wrong un again from Adam Zampa which does the trick. Again plumb in front and that was just too good for some one coming at No 10. Zampa has got several top order batters with the wrong un. Pitching on a good-length around off and turns back in sharply to thud onto the front pad of Dutt. 20.4 Adam Zampa to Scott Edwards, again a tossed up delivery around the middle stump, Edwards goes for the slog sweep, gets it from the inside half of the bat, down towards the deep midwicket fielder and has to be content with a single.
20.3 Adam Zampa to Aryan Dutt, tossed up leg break around middle and off, pushed away off the frontfoot, down the ground towards the long-off fielder and has to be content with a single.

That was a tossed up delivery from Zampa and Edwards tries to play the reverse sweep. Might have got some glove there which might have saved him there. Marsh rushed Aryan Dutt for pace over the course of the over, but just couldn't induce the edge.
