So then, both sides will share two points each after a highly entertaining draw. England still trail Australia by two points and this will finally go down to the ODI series to decide who will come out on top? Will England claim the Ashes or will the hosts retain it? The tone has been very well set and we will be back to bring you all the action. For now, this is Abhinav and myself (Rishab) taking your leave. With this kind of a start to the Sunday, brace yourselves for more exiting cricket coming your way through the day only on this space. Goodbye for now!
Well, this final session has given us the most entertainment that you could ever get from a Test match. At the start of the session, it seemed tough for either side to go on and win this game, but through the course, boy have we seen the momentum shift a number of times, England were on top with that opening partnership setting the tone with Beaumont and Winfield Hill taking the charge. Heather Knight and Nat Sciver then carried it forward with Sophie Dunkley showing great intent as well.
Coming down to the final ten overs, it indeed looked like England were comfortably on course for a record run-chase. However, Annabel Sutherland and Alana King gave it their all with the ball as Australia staged a dramatic comeback, coming so close to winning the game from a point where it seemed like it was as good as over for them.
The English side have managed to keep the Ashes alive with this draw. They might have not won the game, which they will feel they should have. Nonetheless, for them to come out and go after a 257-run target the way they did is truly commendable and they deserve a lot of credit for showing that intent and keeping the contest interesting all the way through. Australia pulled it back from nowhere and while they will be disappointed of not having gotten that final wicket to retain the Ashes, they will also have plenty of positives to take away from this final day's play.
What a game of cricket this has been. Two top sides, fighting it out tooth and nail and it has ended in one of the most dramatic, thrilling and nerve-wrecking draws that you will see. To sum it up, Test cricket at its very best!
Heather Knight: Had some success here and I've really enjoyed this Test match. We fought over four days and went toe to toe. The fact that we went for it was really amazing. I feel alright and three days before the ODIs for me to recover. Really pleased with the fact that we got close and we were suddenly favorites.
Meg Lanning: Don't know what happened in that last hour. England batted really well to get back and get close to winning the game. That's the great things about our side, not relying on a few guys with the youngsters coming in and performing right-away. I need a rest after this to get over. It's a great series with two great sides going at it.
Well, England have managed to draw the game and both teams have given it their heart and soul in this contest. England did give Australia a real scare, they are going to be disappointed but they keep themselves alive in the series. Australia, may not have gotten that final wicket but it has been a commendable comeback from them to almost pull it off out of nowhere. What an incredible and memorable Test this has been!

47.6 Alana King to Kate Cross, ENGLAND SURVIVE! AUSTRALIA DENIED A VICTORY! A low fulltoss bowled from wide of the crease on offstump. Cross stands resolutely and defends it with a straight face of the bat, back to the bowler. England will rue that they missed an opportunity to script the unthinkable. Meanwhile, Australia will believe that they nearly pulled off a heist when it looked all but over with 10 overs to go!
47.5 Alana King to Kate Cross, OH MY MY! Short and wide, pushed across from the batter. Cross off the backfoot slashes the ball from the hands of the keeper for no run
47.4 Alana King to Kate Cross, a low fulltoss bowled from around the wicket. Cross gets behind it and plays it into the deck without any fuss. She could've chanced her luck by taking on that ball
47.3 Alana King to Kate Cross, length ball on middle and leg. Kate pushes at the ball and England survive another ball. Oh, what could have been this for England
47.2 Alana King to Kate Cross, tossed up with some drift on offstump. Cross defends it once again with all her life to short point. All the deliberation from Lanning & Co. comes to a naught on that ball
More fielders being placed in front and catching now. Australia do want that final wicket badly!
47.1 Alana King to Kate Cross, flighted ball bowled on middle and off that turns ever so slightly after pitching. Cross gets behind the line and smothers the ball into the deck. Five deliveries for Cross to play out!
Slip and leg-slip in place!
Alana King with the final over, Australia are a wicket away!
Annabel Sutherland deserves gallons of credit for putting Australia in the position that they are in now. She has bowled her heart out and has got the results for her side as well. England were in control and this has to be one of the most dramatic turnarounds that you will see. Almost ten wickets in a single session. Right then, final over, 12 needed, can England save the game? Or will Australia retain the Ashes? Nerves all around!

46.6 Annabel Sutherland to Kate Cross, a fuller length delivery bowled on middle and legstump. Kate cautiously covers the line and bunts the ball down to long on for a single. Right then, 6 balls, 12 runs required! It is Australia's match to lose now. England have seemingly shut shop!
46.5 Annabel Sutherland to Kate Cross, good length delivery sliding down the leg. A ginger looking Cross gets inside the line as the ball kisses the thigh pad, en route to the keeper Healey who collects it cleanly
46.4 Annabel Sutherland to Kate Cross, JAFFA! Half volley bowled from over the wicket. Kate is once again tempted for the drive and she goes for it. However, the ball once again whizzes past her outside edge
