ACT gave their run rate a massive boost after chasing down a target of 82 with 4.1 overs to spare. After a superior bowling display to restrict VEA to a below par score, ACT batters absolutely decimated the opposition bowling in the chase.

Ahsan Yousuf and Imran Asif gave ACT a steady start. However, Naveed Hussain made the first strike within the powerplay to dismiss Asif and keep VEA in the contest.

Aqib Iqbal's arrival changed the complexion as he looked in a rush to wrap up the proceedings. After losing the important wicket of Ahsan Yousuf, Iqbal paired with Mirza Ahsan to keep the onslaught going. He finally finished off the chase with a hattrick of sixes as VEA bowlers were left astounded.

With the win, ACT open their account with two points on the board from their first game while VEA will have to wait more for their first points.
