It was a one-sided affair in the end as KGS cruised to victory to seal the contest by 8 wickets. After a superior bowling display to restrict AVE to a sub-par total, KGS batters got off to a steady start.

Vignesh and Aravind Akash looked in a good rhythm and got well-settled in the middle. At one point in time, it seemed like the duo would go and cross the finish line.

It wasn't until the fifth over that Murugavel K struck to get the first breakthrough and send Vignesh Ganesan back to the dugout. Lawrence Jawaharraj continued momentum to dismiss Desh Deepak Chauhan in the following over.

However, the arrival of Vishnu K changed the complexion of the innings. He slammed a quickfire 9-ball 24 while Akash played a deft knock from the other end to take KGS home comfortably with 2 overs and 2 balls to spare.

With a second consecutive win, KGS maintain their unbeaten streak in the tournament and climbs to the top while AVE suffers back-to-back losses and remains at the bottom of the table.
