The BCB president, Najmul Haq, hands out the winner's trophy to Mahmadullah, who takes it and goes to the team to celebrate together. That's all the coverage we have for you from this series. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Switch tabs to follow all the live cricket action and other sports on Sportskeeda. This is Lavil Saldanha and alongside me Pratyush Rohra signing off
Mahmadullah (Bangladesh captain): A bit disappointed with the way how the series has ended, but they played well and got a good score. We couldn't chase down the total, but we are happy that we won the series. The bowlers did exceptionally well but we as batsmen failed to take responsibility and couldn't stand up to the task. Shoriful got a couple of wickets with the ball in hand and I and Afif Hossain put together a good partnership. Other than that, we didn't get a good start and lost wickets at regular intervals. We have played some good cricket and have won 3 series in a row. We will be hoping to do one better in the World Cup and win a few games
Tom Latham (NZ skipper, Man of the match and the joint player of the series): Obviously great to finish the tour on a high. We came very close to beating them in the first four matches, beat them in the third man and came very close to beat them in the second and the fourth T20I. The surface was good and the openers set the platform for us and the middle order batted freely, scoring the runs and setting up a good target for them. The bowlers have bowled their hearts out in the entire series and have only become better and better as the series has gone by. We will take this win and head with confidence into the Pakistan tour. It was good to spend some time out in the middle, haven't played too many T20Is. It is pleasing for one when you score runs in alien conditions.
Tom Latham was also awarded the man of the match and was jointly declared as man of the series along with Nasum Ahmed
New Zealand wins the match by 27 runs. Bangladesh win the series 3-2
An exciting series between two sides come to an end as New Zealand convincingly win the match by 27 runs and will take the series result as 2-3 next to their name. Of all the teams Bangladesh played against in their him season, New Zealand challenged them and made them fight tooth and nail for a series win. This is also the very first time that Bangladesh have won a series against New Zealand and they will take a lot of positives as they will be looking to enter into the T20 WC first round with the same kind of mindset.
Bangladesh didn't have the best of the starts to the chase. Naim Sheikh got them off with a couple of boundaries, but he was falling short of partners at the other end, with Soumya Sarkar and Liton Das handing out easy catches to the fielders in the circle. Mushfiqur Rahim, Bangladesh's Mr Dependent, too lost his wicket and wasn't able to support Naim. Naim later lost his wicket in a bid to accelerate and Mahmadullah and Afif Hossain forged forces as the duo strung a 50 run partnership and reignited hopes of a win for Bangladesh. Mahmadullah was sent just as the partnership was growing and then the match was only a lone waged fight between Afif Hossain and the blackcaps, which the visitors won comfortably.
New Zealand's bowling efforts were appreciable as they did exceptionally well to defend a target on a pitch that was aiding the batsmen. Everyone got their wickets registered in the column, with Ajaz Patel and Scott Kuggeleijn leading the tally with 2 wickets each. Cole McConchie, Rachin Ravindra, Ben Sears and Jacob Duffy returned with a wicket each as the 6 man bowling attack restricted Bangladesh to only 134/8 in 20 overs. Stick around for a while as we bring to you the captain's quotes from the presentation ceremony

19.6 Ben Sears to Nasum Ahmed, full delivery angling into the stumps, Ahmed bunts it down to long-on for a brace. New Zealand have won by 27 runs. They wrap up this series on a high and get the consolation win to make it 3-2.
19.5 Ben Sears to Nasum Ahmed, full slower delivery well wide of off-stump, sneaks inside the tramline though as Nasum wafts at it loosely
19.4 Ben Sears to Afif Hossain, well-directed short delivery angling into Afif, gets himself into a tangle there and awkwardly manages to fend it towards point for a single
19.3 Ben Sears to Afif Hossain, full delivery sliding into the leg-side, Afif whips this one in front of square to trot back for a couple
19.2 Ben Sears to Nasum Ahmed, short of a length delivery on the stumps, Ahmed pulls it towards long-on for a single
19.1 Ben Sears to Afif Hossain, good length delivery angling into the pads, Afif moves inside the line to paddle it down to fine leg for a single
Nasum Ahmed is the new man in and will be down at the non strikers end
A couple of boundaries and a wicket in the over. The match is all but done here now as Taskin Ahmed has his moments with the bat in hand and then loses his middle stump looking to clear the ropes. Good bowling in this match from the Blackcaps as they end the series with a win

18.6 Scott Kuggeleijn to Taskin Ahmed, KNOCKED HIM OVER! No real celebrations from the Kiwis. This one's done and dusted. Fullish slower delivery on the stump, Taskin clears his front foot and looks to deposit this into the stands but he's ended up with a swing and a miss. Hears the timber rattle and doesn't even look back as he gets on his way.
18.5 Scott Kuggeleijn to Taskin Ahmed, FOUR MORE! Fullish delivery on the stumps, Taskin gives himself some room and drills this back past the bowler's head for his second boundary. Too little, too late though
18.4 Scott Kuggeleijn to Afif Hossain, finds the blockhole around the leg-stump as Afif tried to give himself some room, bunted towards mid-off for another single
18.3 Scott Kuggeleijn to Taskin Ahmed, good length slower delivery angling across the off-stump, Taskin pushes it towards mid-off for a single
Taskin Ahmed has teed off here. He gets the ball full and in his arc and smashes that one down the track for a boundary off the very first delivery he faces
18.2 Scott Kuggeleijn to Taskin Ahmed, FOUR! Fullish delivery outside off-stump, was in the slot as Taskin shovels this one over mid-off to get off the mark with a boundary
