A happy and confident Nigar Sultana but it will be Harmanpreet Kaur who will receive the series trophy with India taking the honors 2-1. She then joins her team as they bask in the glory of another series triumph. A good start to their tour although they will certainly reflect on today's performance, particularly as far as their batting is concerned. Quite a lot of work to do and they will certainly want to put in a better show in the one-dayers coming up. Bangladesh have work to do of their own with the bat but in what could be another low-scoring ODI rubber, expect the spinners to have a big say yet again when it commences on Sunday.

Nigar Sultana (Bangladesh captain): Before the ODI series we've got some momentum to keep going. The way the girls bowled today was outstanding. Especially Rabeya and Marufa as well. We were confident after the last match since we were confident of what we are capable of. I was always confident about my team. I know what they are capable of and the potential they have. Somehow we missed out in the last game and we wanted to take all the positives from the T20s. Looking forward to the ODI series.

Harmanpreet Kaur (Player of the Series and India captain): Bangladesh batted extremely well today. They rotated the strike very well. They were also very aware of what the situation was like. We look forward to the ODI series now. We know how the pitch is playing. We did not have to do too much on this surface. Rotating the strike was enough. Jemimah (Rodrigues) and I tried our best to do so but we could not quite get a big total in the end. We expect the ODI series to be low-scoring. We need to go ball-by-ball and apply ourselves. They bowled extremely well and did not give us too many looseners. We can learn a lot from Bangladesh.

Shamima Sultana, Player of the Match: Our coach (Hashan Tillakaratne) told us to rotate the strike and place the ball in the gaps. That is all that we tried to do in this game. (Unfortunately, she could not talk for much longer as she was suffering from cramps.)

They should have won the last game too with a modest target of just 96 in front of them. It wasn't to be then for Bangladesh but they haven't repeated the same mistake this time around and have managed to eke out a hard-fought victory. What a commendable show this has been with much more assurance coming to the fore with the bat.

Chasing a modest 103, it didn't begin well for the hosts as Minnu Mani picked up a couple of early scalps. India were intent on bowling spin all the way through and it was a fine display as well, with Rashi Kanojiya turning in an impressive spell to begin with and Deepti Sharma keeping it tight as she always does. Shamima Sultana and Nigar Sultana took a cue out of what Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur did for India though and dug in deep to stitch together a noteworthy partnership.

Bangladesh were behind the eight-ball at the halfway mark but Shamima then decided to switch gears, manipulating the field brilliantly to pocket a timely boundary now and then. Nigar's wicket brought India back into the hunt although Shamima continued to keep Bangladesh on track. Giving her company was Sultana Khatun, who struck a couple of powerful boundaries and stated her intentions quite clearly.

18 runs were required off the last four overs and it was headed the hosts' way, only for a couple of wickets including the run out of Shamima to infuse a sense of deja vu to the situation of the game. But Kanojiya couldn't land it in the right areas under pressure as Nahida Akter and Ritu Moni managed to get the job done, earning a consolation victory for Bangladesh. India still take the series 2-1 though - stay tuned for the presentation!

18.1 Deepti Sharma to Nahida Akter, RUN OUT APPEAL! Back of a length on middle and leg, turns back in. Akter places it to square leg and rushes through for a run. The throw comes in but the replays suggest that Moni was well inside the crease. Oops, it appears as if this was a short run. So, no run taken.

Such clever batting by Nahida and Moni! They've just looked to find the gap and bring it down to a mere two runs now from two overs. They might have succumbed to pressure in the last game but they haven't this time around. Bangladesh require 2 runs to win!

Excellent effort from Shafali Verma but it's all going Bangladesh's way now. Ah, there's a short run though. Thankfully from Bangladesh's point of view, it may not prove to be costly this time.

Rashi Kanojiya has wilted under pressure here. A wretched beamer and Nahida accepts it gleefully. Really touch and go by the ropes but it seems like Vastrakar has just done enough.
