Right then. Spain have finally got their first points on board and that's a result which could have major implications to the points table. England XI remain at the top of the table with the only team on nine points, with Belgium and Netherlands behind them on seven points. The win for Spain means that they are finally off the mark but still languishing at the bottom of the table because of their abysmal net run rate but level on points with Italy. The Azzuri play Austria in the final match of the day, and a heavy loss for the Men in Blue could put Spain right back into the mix.

A walk-in-a-park win is never a given in the ECS, is it? Belgium started out as favourites in this contest but the hosts have managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat and collect their first win of the week. Much needed for their morale as well. It wasn't the simplest of run chases with some self-infliction from Spain but some dropped catches and lifelines have abled them to get over the line. Despite some hara-kiri and chaos, Spain have managed to sneak through and win the contest. Near identical 27's from Perman and Hussain got their side over the line eventually.

PERMAN'S SEALED THE DEAL IN STYLE!! The hosts get their first win of the championship week and they've done it against the big guns, the table-toppers in Belgium. A standing ovation from the dugout and it's all smiles for the supporters as well.
