Commentary

At the half-way stage, it looked like Dresden had done well to scamper their way to 85, of course with the five penalty runs, that seemed like they would cost Berlin. Berlin did not have a good start in the powerplay either, being reduced to 15/3. Their top order failed to provide anything and it felt that the absence of Rohit Grover was going to haunt them.

The ball was swinging a lot and the Dresden bowlers made good use of the conditions at the top. Kapil Chandani and Belal Zadran with a couple of wickets each bowled really well to keep their team in with a chance. However, it was two overs that really cost them the game. First, from Shahrukh Khan, and then from Rahul Grover, that turned the game in Berlin's favor.

It was Sahil Lal who brought about a shift in momentum, and then it was skipper Awais Zafar who made sure he stood out there till the end to seal the deal. An unbeaten 29 from him saw Berlin cross the line eventually, becoming the first team to enter the final. Who is going to join them for the title clash?
