Hobart Hurricanes won by 6 wickets (with 3 deliveries to spare)
Grace Harris 41(30), Laura 32(20) | Nicola Hancock 2/20
It was a tricky target to chase for the Hobart Hurricanes and they needed a steady start from their openers. Ruth Johnston was sent up the order to make use of the fielding restrictions in the first 2 overs, with the match being reduced to a 13-over affair. Lizelle Lee and Ruth Johnston started off brilliantly for the Hurricanes, collecting 16 runs from the very first over.
Johnston was run out the very next over but the start was provided. Lizelle Lee and Mignon du Preez started the resurrecting act and played some delightful shots in the process. Both the batters were not afraid to take on the bowlers and ensured that the required rate never really went out of hand. Lee scored 24 off a mere 19 deliveries before perishing at the hands of Nicola Hancock.
She also took the wicket of Heather Graham in that very over to turn the game on its head. Ellyse Villani didn't come out to bat in her original position but when she did come out, she turned the match on it's head. She scored 26 off just 17 deliveries to take her side home in the final over of the match.
12.2 Jess Jonassen to Elyse Villani, FOUR! HOBART HURRICANES KEEP THEIR WINNING RUN GOING! Fullish delivery on the leg-stump line, Villani brings out the reverse sweep and places it past short third to give her side the win. Hobart Hurricanes win by 6 wickets!
12.2 Jess Jonassen to Nicola Carey, full delivery on the middle stump, Carey flicks it up and over mid-wicket to pick up a single. Scores are level!
12.1 Jess Jonassen to Elyse Villani, OH MY! How did that miss the top of leg stump? Flighted on the good length as Villani went for the reverse sweep. Misses out on that occasion and so does the keeper, allowing a single to be pinched
Wicket of the last delivery of the over but it's almost done and dusted. Just 3 runs required of the final over.

11.6 Jess Jonassen to Mignon du Preez, OUT! DU PREEZ THROWS IT AWAY! Trying to go for the big shot to seal the deal but she's missed out. Full and outside off, du Preez backs away to try and go over the off-side but she's sliced it right down the throat of the fielder at mid-off. Wyatt makes no mistake but it's too little too late for the Heat now, you'd think.
11.5 Jess Jonassen to Elyse Villani, fired in on the middle and leg-stump line, Villani clips it towards long-on to inch closer to the finish line
11.4 Jess Jonassen to Mignon du Preez, tossed up on the middle stump line, du Preez steps out to loft this towards long-on for one
11.3 Jess Jonassen to Elyse Villani, SUPERB EFFORT IN THE DEEP! Full on the middle stump, Villani makes some room to go inside-out over the covers. The fielder does well to give chase and save a run
11.2 Jess Jonassen to Elyse Villani, full and straight on this occasion, Villani pushes it back to the bowler, no run
11.1 Jess Jonassen to Elyse Villani, FOUR! Floated in full and outside the off-stump, Villani makes some room for herself and creams the drive through the covers for a boundary
