Right then. Brisbane Heat missed out in their last encounter against the Sixers but they surely left no stones unturned. Melbourne Stars came so close but just couldn't finish the game. Here's what she has to say: We've been playing around well, it's been so much and the first game out there and having a blast. Glimpses of good stuff in the last game but just couldn't get over the line. We went out there tonight with positive intent and it worked out well, couple of things still to work on. Having Redmayne at the other end worked well for me, she's calmed me down at times for me to keep going.

It was a high scoring thriller and Sutherland almost won it for the Stars in the end. But Jonassen defended 14 runs in the over successfully by taking 3 wickets in the over.

Winfield-Hill played a masterclass with 74 runs from just 51 balls. Her top knock goes in vain as they could not finish the game in the end. Sutherland with a great cameo in the end, changed the game in the power surge overs as she scored 45 off 22 balls. Heath and Capsey helped along the way by chipping in a couple of boundaries and giving these two the strike. They fell short by just 9 runs in the end.

Just the three bowlers bowled exceptionally well, Amelia Kerr got 2 huge wickets in the middle overs to put a halt to the runs. Jess Kerr with the most important wicket of Winfield-Hill. Another poor fielding performance as 5-6 catches were dropped in the innings, Sutherland's catch was dropped as that could have been very costly, but Jonassen came in to the rescue and took 3 wickets in the last over including Sutherland.
