Amy Edgar has been adjudged the Player of the Match! Here's what she has to say: Honestly at the start we were in a bit of hole there, luckily it came off today and pulled the momentum in our favour. We had a chat after the last game, what can we do to bring into this game and turn it around, we were very happy that we could do that today against the Heat.

It was a tricky target to chase for the Brisbane Heat and they were pegged early with the wicket of Georgia Redmayne. However, Danielle Wyatt and Grace Harris built a good partnership and were quite sensible in their approach. They understood the situation and rotated the strike. They didn’t take any chances and kept coasting towards the target.

Their approach cost them in the end as Harris and Wyatt were both dismissed at a crucial juncture of the game which titled the scales in favor of the Perth Scorchers. The required rate kept climbing and it became a bit difficult for the Brisbane Heat to keep up with the asking rate.

Georgia Voll came out with intent and struck some impressive shots to ease things in the middle. She scored 28 off 23 deliveries which included a couple of fours. The wickets of Amelia Kerr and Laura Harris pegged back the Brisbane Heat further and despite some boundaries towards the end by Jonassen and Pooja Vastrakar, the Scorchers managed to eke out a narrow victory.

The Perth Scorchers have prevailed in a last-ball thriller. This went down to the wire. The Scorchers have always found a way to win games from difficult situations. This was a game that the Brisbane Heat should have won. However they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and in the end, the target was just way too much for them.

Full delivery on the stumps, Vastrakar slammed it down the ground, Carmichael couldn't get her body behind it, goes past her for a crucial boundary. 4 to a Superover and 5 to win now!
