Ellyse Perry (Player of the Match) - Great game of cricket. It's a tricky condition but we adjusted it better. We felt it was a chaseable score with dew and the condtions are slippery. It's been an up and down season for us but good to get one over the Heat. (On Erin Burns) She is an all-round player and backs herself in the middle. She had a tough going but it's good to see her strike the ball like that. We want to be at our absolute best and win many games but things haven't gone our way. The effort and energy has been phenomenal from the girls regardless of the result

The Sixers were looking down and out at the halfway stage of the innings and they have come back incredibly well to clinch this game. It went right down to the wire in the end and they had to keep fighting till the very end but they came in with a lot of resilience tonight and managed to pull it off in the end.

The innings began on a tough note for them as Perry got off to a good start early on but threw it away as she had been dismissed for 20 runs early on. Suzie Bates digged deep and hung around for a while as she scored some crucial runs where she kept the scoreboard moving. Her partnership with Gardner was the key at that stage of the game and once she had been dismissed it was Erin Burns who joined Ashleigh Gardner. The pair put up a 60 run partnership in which Burns whacked it all over the park for her 35.

The turning point in the game though was Amelia Kerr conceding five penalty runs and from there on Matilda Carmichael and Maitlan Brown cashed in. They had a fragile lower order and a lot rested on this pair to deliver. They didn't disappoint as they kept their cool and took the Power Surge at the right time. They swung the momentum in their favor from a tight situation there and it became much easier in the final three overs of the game.

The bowlers endured a tough night for the Brisbane Heat as Amelia Kerr and Charli Knott were taken to the cleaners. Georgia Voll and Jess Jonassen were the pick of the bowlers as the pair picked up two wickets each but the seamers Hancock and Sippel couldn't really penetrate in the middle overs and break the partnerships which would have most certainly kept them in the contest.

19.5 Jess Jonassen to Maitlan Brown, SIXERS COME OUT ON TOP! Fires it full on middle stump, Brown knocks this and manages to get this wide of long-on. Carmichael wants to seal the match here as she charges back to the non-strikers' end. Harris' throw was at the strikers' end where Brown is struggling but the ball hits her on the way to the keeper.

Two runs needed from two balls and the pressure is on the batting side now! Will they end up bottling this one up? Can Jonassen pull this off?
