Vinohrady beat Brno by 38 runs.
Siddarth Goud: 88* (33) | Naveed Ahmed: 1-12 Ali Kashif: 42 (31) | Joe Cope: 2-11
A victory of comprehensive margin for Vinohrady against Brno is what we get to witness. A target of 144 runs in 10 overs was always going to be a more than difficult task for any team. Although we saw some individual spark from a few batters but it wasn't enough to surmount such a humongous total.
Joe Cope was steller at the start, toppling two top order batters of the opposition in the first over of the 2nd innings. One might be derailed by that force but Ali Kashif and Yug Warrier gave some fight. They touched up a 57 runs partnership for the third wicket.
But the lower-middle order batters failed to relay it further as the duo of Siddarth Goud and Anil Saini wreaked havoc in the middle order. Ultimately, the chase became a needle from the haystack and Vinohrady secure a magnificent victory.
Earlier Vinohrady got to a mammoth 143 runs in 10 innings on the back of a stellar knock from Siddarth Goud. Despite losing his opening partner early, the right hander took on the opposition bowlers. He was also supported by the middle-order batters to build the platform for this humongous score. Had he played a couple of more deliveries, a century wouldn't have been an impossible task.
