BSC Rehberge 1945 obliterate FC Viktoria 89 by 8 wickets!

What a game we have been treated to! An amazing turnaround by BSC Rehberge 1945 and they are elated! Rightly so, they deserve this victory. Got off to the worst possible starts as they lost the ever-dangerous Shahnawaz Ahmad and Luqman Jafer off the first two deliveries. Viktoria were well and truly ahead in the contest and the scorecard read 1/2 at the end of the first over.

However, what followed was utter destruction from the willows of Nadjibullah Yasser and Sajid Liaqat. While the former made most of the reprieve given to him in the first over and scored an quick-fire 17-ball 43*, Liaqat was the destructor-in-chief, mercilessly thrashing the bowlers all across the park and racing away to an unbeaten 24-ball 61.

As for the bowlers, nothing went their way after the first over. Latif picked up a couple but was unable to continue in the same manner in the second over as he was taken for 19 runs. The others, too, did not return with figures which were anything to write home about. A comprehensive win for BSCR in the end and they retain the top position on the points table with that! On the other hand, Viktoria will go back to the drawing board and get their plans right before the reverse-fixture.

The poor bowling from VIK continues as they dish out juicy deliveries which are absolutely pummelled to the fence. Another massive over as they collect 16 runs off it and with just 15 runs more needed, BSCR will be looking to finish off the game in the next over itself! Both the batsmen in their forties and will be hoping to get a half-cneitnury under their belt as well.
