What an emphatic win for the Buggiba Blasters! They've put on an absolutely clinical performance with the ball and the Lions have just been blown away here. They did start off really well as they got off to a flyer in the powerplay. However, once they had lost their top 3, the middle order surrendered to the seamers of the Buggiba Blasters and there was hardly any resistance of the rest of the batting unit. The skipper Milton Devasia scratched around for a while for his 21 of 14 balls and he was the only one to cross 20.
For the Buggiba Blasters, their bowlers carried on the good work, after their batters had set them up with a big total. They were put under pressure in the powerplay by the openers but they kept their calm and carried on with their performance. Skipper Devendra Negi put on a match winning performance as he cleaned up the middle order in the devastating two over spell. He finished off with a four-fer. Towards the end , it was the left arm seamer Ajay Kumar, who cleaned up the tail in the last over and ended with incredible figures of 3/3.
Overall, the Blasters have had yet another convincing win here and their ascendency in the tournament continues! The Victoria Lions have had an outing to forget here and they have comprehensively beaten in this game in all spheres. They will have to work on their batting and ensure that the middle order puts on a better show, the next time they're going to take the field.
