Jeet Raval, Northern Brave Captain - The boys showed real character and pulled of a great win today! Throughout the competition we took each game on it's own and prepared accordingly. The management and support staff have been unbelievable throughout. The Canterbury boys are a hard team to beat and I would like to thank our sponsors for supporting us through thick and thin in this season.

Cole McConchie, Canterbury Kings Captain -We came out against a top team and we were around 25 runs short and weren't at our 100%! Big-ups to our boys on the way we played throughout the season. We grew really well through the season and hopefully we will be in a better place coming out in to the next season. Credits to the Northern Brave, they have been a bloody hard team to beat.

Mitchell Santner, DreamXI game changer award winner: We bowled pretty well. They had top batters in their side but to be able to restrict them to such a par score was a good effort on our parts. This title did not go like last year's, we had to fight for each and every inch that came our way. It's nice to come back and play the Super Smash final. I also managed to play five games earlier in the season. Good performance by the boys.

What an EMPHATIC VICTORY for the Northern Brave! They have chased down this total in some style here and have become the Super Smash champions for the second successive time! They began the run chase in blistering fashion when Seifert and Clarke got them off to a flyer in the powerplay.

Once Clarke was gone, Seifert put on a couple of good partnerships back to back with skipper Jeet Raval, and Joe Carter! The former was unlucky to be adjudged lbw in a controversial decision. However Seifert carried on in his merry way and set the foundation for the chase with a superb 51! He played a calm and measured innings under pressure and ensured that the Brave were always ahead of the rate. In the end, it was Joe Carter and the veteran Mitch Santner, who finished things off in style for the Brave and did so with two overs to spare.

The Canterbury bowlers, tried hard but they didn't really have enough runs to defend. Once they had conceded 50 plus in the powerplay, it was always going to be an uphill task from there onwards. Henry Shipley did get two wickets but he was really expensive and failed to contain the batters. Todd Astle did well in patches but wasn't at his fluent best and failed to break the partnerships.
