Match summary:
Central Castries Mindoo Heritage win by 10 wickets with 22 balls to spare
Stephen Naitram 79*(25) | Ackeem Auguste 29*(13) Shadrack Descartes 56(30) | Mc Kennie Clarke 2/18 (2)
Carnage would be an understatement to describe what happened over the 6 overs in the second innings of this cricket match. It was a one-man show, more or less. Stephen Naitram seemed like in a league of his own today, as he tore into the Mon Repos Stars bowling attack right from the word go. Pace, spin, nothing was spared, as the CCMH captain made merry and killed the game off in the 4-over powerplay itself. 73 runs were scored in those 4 overs, a record in this year's St. Lucia T10.
Of course, Ackeem Auguste wasn't going to miss out on the fun, and so, he got in on the act soon enough. It certainly didn't help the Mon Repos Stars bowlers that they sprayed deliveries down the leg side and past the tramline every now and then. Clearly, they were under the pump, and both the Castries openers took full advantage of it. This win will give the Central Castries Mindoo Heritage a massive boost to their net run rate, and of course, a major moral boost as well.
6.2 Shadrack Descartes to Stephen Naitram, NAITRAM FINISHES IT OFF IN STYLE! Short and angling in, Naitram pulls it over deep mid-wicket for a maximum. So, Central Castries register a ten-wicket win with 22 balls to spare!
6.1 Shadrack Descartes to Stephen Naitram, length delivery bowled wide of off, Naitram looks to guide it behind point but he misses it
Shadrack Descartes (1-0-12-0) is back into the attack
The scores are tied. What a phenomenal batting performance this has been from the two Castries openers!
