We have the Post-match Presentation now!
Shakib Al Hasan, captain of Fortune Barishal and the Player of the Match: From the last game, feeling a bit more confident and the team is shaping up well. These are the two areas we need to improve- wickets in the Powerpay and losing some inn the end as well. We are winning despite not playing at our best. Mujeeb is a world class bowler, he made so much diff the moment the came into the team.
Naeem Islam, Chattogram Challengers skipper: The way our bowlers performed in the death overs, it was very good. This was a chaseable total. We had different game-plan today because they have a lot of left-handers. So, we thought it would be better to bowl seamers during the death overs. We need to bat well in the next match!
That will be the game! Fortune Barishal emerge victorious by 14 runs!
This was a game that was on knife edges for so long we cannot imagine. A game so near yet so far for the Challengers as they lose another game this time to Fortune Barishal. What an exciting, dramatic, eventful and poignant match we have witnessed and this game was the epitome of a T20 thriller and just proves why the ebb and flows of the game are priceless nature for they reveal the true essence of the game.
The two captains had a strikingly contrast game today. Shakib scored a fifty today and picked up 3 crucial wickets in the middle overs whereas Naeem Islam struggled with his field placements today in the first half and was dislodged first ball when he came into bat. Such is the dichotomy of the game.
Mujeeb ur Rahman was as exceptional as ever when he conceded a total of 9 runs with a maiden and 3 wickets to go with it. Afif Hossain and Shamim Hossain were batting well together but once they departed, there was no stability thereafter as one fell after another
19.4 Dwayne Bravo to Nasum Ahmed, full and slow, Nasum slogs it straight down the throat of the man at long-on where the fielder doesn't do mistake. Chattogram Challengers are all out 135 as Fortune Barishal win by 14 runs!!
19.3 Dwayne Bravo to Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, full-toss wide of off, Mrittunjoy plays it to deep point for a single
19.2 Dwayne Bravo to Nasum Ahmed, dipping slower delivery, Nasum looks to turn it towards the leg-side and just drags it onto the pad. Single taken
19.1 Dwayne Bravo to Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, full delivery, Mrittunjoy swings it to deep mid-wicket and takes a single
One wicket in hand. This is a really fragile chase. One on the cliffhanger, Fortune barishal have everything in their favour, they just need 6 good balls or one wicket
